Im so bad!!

I know..its been forever since i updated...been feeling under the weather so just did not feel like doing enything.
So what have i done??
I got the shawl done for the shawl swap and it was going to go out today but my DH overslept and it didnt get done..soooo it will go out monday...i sure hope she likes it..ive never done a swap before so i hope i did it right.

Kathys shawl update!!
This is the shawl i have been testing for kathy over at Crochetville
This pattern has been really easy to do since Kathy showed me how to make new spaces at the begining and end...she is a great teacher and pattern designer.I just love it..had to wait a month for the thread to get here(will never shop at herrschners again)..now im back at it againI thought i was alittle over half way..but looking at the photos i dont think i am-oh well.Isnt it the prettest thing you have ever seen??This pattern is just breath-taking and i feel so lucky that she let me be a tester.Now i allso want to get the autum splender pattern she has out.Photos are clickable.

Movie Review!!

Flightplan (rating=9)

Overall a very good movie...well acted and layed out...i knew from the begining the one lady was in on it but was shocked when i found out who the bad person was.Seeing as how she designed the plane i thought she could have done alittle more damage to it...but it had a very good ending and she kicked butt,worth buying and watching in my opion.

Next week....Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire...

Im Stuck!!!

I cant come up with enything i want to do...i have the shawl swap coming up but want to know what my partner likes frist so cant start that yet..sigh...my homespun yarn is not here yet to work on my afgan..sigh...i started another doily but cant get into that one..what to do..what to do..i cant stand my hands idile. I guess i will just work on my Drops sweater for tonight and maybe get it done.

My brother-in-law was here yesterday and it makes me want to get in my car and drive 1600 miles or what ever it is and spend a few nights sitting up all night with my sister just being silly,i want to feel young again and eat subs till we pop then top it off with chips and onion soup mix dip...sigh...watch old movies together and wax our legs till we cry...sigh.Go to walmart and spend all our hubbys money..

YAY...DONE!!!

I got it done and i think it turned out really great,i love the way it hangs and feels,i love this senso thread,its so soft and is so easy to work with.No full face shot becouse my hair wasnt fixed,lol,it was just pinned up and messy.
Enyway without further ado......Drum roll please.....




I want to send out a special thank you to Anna for putting it all together and all the wonderfull ladies who competed,it was great fun.

My DIL

My dil learned to crochet the other night,picked up a hook and by the next afternoon had a bikini top done,i was so shocked at how fast she learned,she is now working on a camo tank top thats out of her head.

Now i can start back on my summer sweater.Goodnite everyone.

Crochet Olympics Update

Well..im up to 18" and still going,i feel like its never ending.I feel like im going in slow motion.I have used 7 balls of thread,it feels like 100 lol.Its a repeating stitch of 2 through 5 rows so its hard to watch tv.

Playing with kitty!!

While crocheting last night i had my feet propped on a box and kept felling this wierd feeling on my toes,i looked down and what do i see ??My big fat kitty staring back at me,she had gotten in the box while i wasnt looking and did not like the fact that mom was ignoring her.Her past time is getting into small spaces and in my yarn bags.She is up to 17 pounds now,what a fatty and we love every inch of that fat.

Snow!!

After all was said and done we got 13 inches of snow,i took these photos at about 3 in the morning,its looking down our front stairs.Believe it or not there is still snow on the ground and its 60 degrees today,its melting fast now and i cant wait for summer.

Big Update!!

First is the Long vest im working one for the crochetville Olympics,i have worked 2 1/2 balls of thread and its now about 8 inches,im using a size 00 steel hook and senso black thread #3,i think its coming along great and i love the x-stitch design thats happing.Remember you can click on all photos to enlarge.



Im allso working a the Flattering Jacket with my sister from lion brand yarn,im doing it in waterfall homespun yarn,very pretty,this is for when i get bored with the long vest i can work on this for awhile.
